How to install PreReason

Environment variables:
PREREASON_API_KEY – PreReason API key (starts with pr_live_). Optional: without it the bridge asks for access from inside the session and prints one link for you to approve; the key is then saved under ~/.prereason. Or sign up at prereason.com.
PREREASON_CLIENT – The app this bridge runs in (claude-desktop, cursor, windsurf, claude-code, ...), so your PreReason dashboard names the connection.

Replace placeholders in <angle brackets> with your own values. Review what a server can access before you enable it.
