How to install Life Dashboard

Docker

claude mcp add -e PGHOST=<your-pghost> -e PGDATABASE=<your-pgdatabase> -e PGUSER=<your-pguser> -e PGPASSWORD=<your-pgpassword> life-dashboard -- docker run -i --rm ghcr.io/owen282000/life-dashboard-mcp:1.2.1

Or add it to your MCP config (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "life-dashboard": {
      "command": "docker",
      "args": [
        "run",
        "-i",
        "--rm",
        "ghcr.io/owen282000/life-dashboard-mcp:1.2.1"
      ],
      "env": {
        "PGHOST": "<your-pghost>",
        "PGDATABASE": "<your-pgdatabase>",
        "PGUSER": "<your-pguser>",
        "PGPASSWORD": "<your-pgpassword>"
      }
    }
  }
}

Environment variables:

PGHOST (required) – The stack's Postgres: db on the stack's Docker network.
PGDATABASE (required) – The stack's database.
PGUSER (required) – dash_ro, the stack's user that can only read the dash views.
PGPASSWORD (required) – The password of dash_ro: DASH_DB_PASSWORD in the stack's .env.

Replace placeholders in <angle brackets> with your own values. Review what a server can access before you enable it.
